Apple released its latest version of the iPhone the iPhone 3G last Friday at 8am in stores on the West Coast. I have waited this long to convert over to the iphone from my Sidekick 3 just to wait for the 3G version with its new features and capabilities of which I can now really utilize fully (Viva Exchange Compatibility) but I think even more because by this time Apple would have ironed out alot of early bugs and issues with existing customers, sound like a good reason right? Right.

Of course switching to AT&T is something I wish I didn’t have to do as I love my old provider T-Mobile but what is one to do? I am trusting I will be pleasantly surprised at their Network and outstanding customer service!

So around 1pm Friday I entered a busy but not chaotic AT&T store to make the plunge, I purchased my new iphonebaby, received a confirmation number and account and was promptly advised that nationwide there was already a two week waiting period before i would receive the phone! I believe the term is WTF!?

So I bought an iphone, I just don’t have it yet…
